Supply of drinking water

Dear hiker on Soonwaldsteig,

at a distance of more than 40 km at the forests of "Lützelsoon" and "Großer Soon" the Soonwaldsteig will not cross any village and only few streets.

Unfortunately, there are also no springs where we can guarantee drinking water quality. This applies to all natural bodies of water and water sources. These are not suitable for drinking water (even if filter systems are used).

Therefore, please do not forget to bring enough water to your hike or use our ‘network of open taps’.
